NewsPrince George Library Looking for YAB Members
Prince George's Public Library is taking applications for its Youth Advisory Board. Ten spots are available for the group that helps promote the library to other youth. Teen Librarian Amy Dawley says the YAB also puts on events. "Some of the more successful events that the YAB have done in the past was the 'Lord of the Rings' movie marathon a few years ago," says Dawley, "and were planning on doing one later this year because of the release of 'The Hobbit." Dawley says young people in grades eight through 12 can be apart of the library's youth advisory board. Applications can be picked up at the library or online and need to be sent in by August 31st.
