Mackenzie, B.C.
Mackenzie has a full complement of doctors with the hiring of two new physicians who start work this month.
Doctors Dan Penman and Colin Mackenzie bring the total number of doctors in the community to four.
Health Services Administrator Barb Crook says the two hires will put an end to healthcare struggles.
"We've had times where we've had only one physician in the community and we actually had a time where I had to close the ER for 48 hours because there was no physician in the community. So we're very excited."
Both doctors completed their residency in Prince George.
Four doctors and a nurse practitioner have been recruited to Mackenzie over the past two years.
