Temperatures this week are above normal for July, but Environment Canada does not expect any records.

Meteorologist Jim Steele says predicted temperatures in the mid to high twenties do not quite hit the record mark.

"Still anywhere from three to four degrees below the record, but still way above normal this time of year, 23 degrees.  So, surpass that every day for the next, oh, probably four [to] five days."

Steele says the average temperature for July is about 23 degrees, a few degrees lower than averages this week.

He says a bit of cloud is expected to roll in next week, but expects the heat to stick around for most of the month.
