Christina has lived most of her life in Prince George, with the exception of a year-and-a-half she spent in the Lower Mainland attending BCIT's Broadcast Journalism Program. Christina headed to BCIT to put her writing skills to use after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at UNBC. She returned to Prince George to work for Vista Radio in 2007 and has been with Vista ever since. Christina has worked her way up from the role of Weekend Anchor and Reporter to the position of News Director. Christina is also an active volunteer, having served as the Secretary for the Prince George Chapter of the Kidney Foundation since January 2010. She has also volunteered with Studio 2880 and the Two Rivers Art Gallery, regularly rings bells during the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign, and has helped out during Tim Horton's Camp Day. When not chasing down stories in the newsroom, you can find Christina at the gym, trying her hand at photography, reading, relaxing at one of the local lakes, enjoying her favourite music, cooking, or spending time with friends and family. Christina welcomes any news tips or story ideas and can be reached via email at cdoll@vistaradio.ca or by calling 250-564-2524. Christina can also be found on Twitter @christina_doll.
Fresh out the Academy of Broadcasting in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Marissa Harvey pulled up her prairie roots, travelled across the country and planted herself in Northern BC, where she hopes to grow as a journalist. By all accounts, it's been a surprisingly seamless transition... and not simply because she's used to the cold. Marissa has always been fascinated by people and their stories, which naturally led her to a career in journalism. She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from Providence College, and studied religion at the University of Winnipeg - two experience that gave her a greater appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the world, as well as the people in it. Marissa is excited for what lies ahead - all the people she'll meet and stories she'll help tell in her new home. Marissa welcomes any news tips or story ideas and can be reached by calling 250 564 2524 or by email: mharvey@vistaradio.ca.
After 20 years of living in Alberta, Ted Andrew moved from his small town of Youngstown (halfway between Calgary and Saskatoon) to join the Vista Radio team. Ted completed his Broadcasting Journalism Diploma at Lethbridge College this spring and is ready and willing to report the news for Northern BC. While growing up on a farm, Ted was always interested in what was happening. Whether it was in town, the province, the country or half way around the world. He’s always been interested in the news and talking with people about issues. While in college, Ted better understood the media’s role in society and developed a drive to get information to the public. He hopes to do that here in Northern BC. When Ted is not working, he enjoys hitting the gym, reading (whatever tickles his fancy) listening to the radio (just can’t get enough of it) and watching TV shows (West Wing, Glee and Big Bang Theory particularly). Ted welcomes any news tips or story ideas and can be reached by calling 250 564 2524 or by email: tandrew@vistaradio.ca. Twitter @tedandrew1.
A native of Richmond, Jeff has returned to Northern B.C. following stints in Castlegar, Terrace, and two stops on the prairies in Edmonton and Saskatoon. A BCIT Broadcast Journalism graduate, Jeff is a political and history buff, and an avid sports fan sticking by the Canucks and Lions even when they make it oh-so-hard to do so. Jeff loves to travel as evidenced by his many moves over the last few years, but he's thrilled to now call Prince George home. Jeff welcomes any news tips or story ideas and can be reached via email at jsargeant@vistaradio.ca or by calling 250-564-2524. Jeff can also be found on Twitter @jeffthesarge. Questionable Content?
