The provincial government is throwing its support behind a musical tribute to B-C's Forest Service centary celebration.  The province has given $50,000 to the show "Good Timber - Songs and Stories of the Western Logger."  Community, Sport and Cultural Development Minister Ida Chong says the money has been given to the Victoria-based theatre company, "The Other Guys."

"And being that this is the 100th anniversary of the BC Forest Service I thought that it was a good fit," says Chong, "and so our ministry decided we would help them take it out to some of our communities, from which forestry has played an important role."

Chong says the show is a collection of songs, poetry and stories about BC's logging industry.  "Good Timber" will be in Prince George on November 2nd and 3rd.
