A complaint of shots fired in the Oak Street area today is being investigated by Prince George RCMP.
Police received a report shortly after 1:00 pm of a man being chased into a wooded area by two other men.
Corporal Craig Douglass says witnesses believe they heard a single gun shot before the suspects fled.
"We have a very limited description, but a slim male, approximately six feet tall, who was sort of clean-shaven around the sides and the back of his head and then the hair was longer and thicker along the top."
Douglass says the getaway vehicle is described as an older model blue Ford Focus or Honda Civic.
He says police have yet to turn up any evidence of a gun being fired or find the alleged victim or vehicle.
Anyone with information is urged to call the local detachment at (250) 561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
