Flood Evacuation Orders and Alerts to End Saturday

The Fraser River in Prince George has dropped to 9.1 metres and is expected to continue declining.

The Emergency Operations Centre will begin safety inspections of seven properties on evacuation order tomorrow.  Work to remove temporary diking will also start tomorrow.

Evacuation orders and alerts issued by the EOC will end at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 30th.

Vehicle traffic in the South Fort George area is still restricted and Cottonwood and Paddlewheel Parks remain closed.

The BC River Forecast Centre is maintaining a High Streamflow Advisory for the Fraser and Nechako Rivers.
