Cougars pick goalie and D

--The Prince George Cougars selected an
18-year old goalie and an 18-year old
defenceman in the 2012 CHL Import Draft.
With the 5th overall pick, the Cats took Joonas
Korpisalo of Finland, the second of eight
goaltenders chosen in the Draft. The six-foot-two,
172 pound Korpisalo was a third round selection
(62nd overall) of the Columbus Blue Jackets in
this year's NHL Entry Draft.
He represented Finland at the 2011 World
Under-18 Championship where he posted a
3.02 goals against average and a .902 save
percentage in six games.
--With their second round, 65th overall pick, the
Cougars selected 6-foot-5, 198 pound defenceman
Rinalds Rosinskis from Latvia. He was the tallest
blueliner in the draft.
A total of 77 players from 11 countries were taken
in the Euro Draft
