--Geoff Martinson of Prince George finished
third in the 1,500 finals at the Canadian Track
and Field Olympic Trials in Calgary.
  The 26-year old Martinson was less than a
second behind the gold medalist, but his time
was not good enough to qualify for the London
Games.
  This was the third straight year Martinson has
medaled at the Nationals as he earned a silver
two years ago and a bronze in 2011.

--Meanwhile, former PG Track Club member
Alyx Treasure of Kansas State tied for 4th in the
women's high jump.
