Judo silver and bronze

--The three judo clubs in Prince George
combined to win two medals at the
national championships in Toronto.
   Kristen Yawney of the PG Judo Club
earned silver (in the U17 girls -70kgs
class) while Lavanna Laass of the Hart
Judo Club captured bronze (in the U17
girls -57kgs division).
   It was the third national medal for Yawney,
who in previous years earned gold and
silver in the U15 class.
   A total of 14 judo athletes from Prince George
(8 Hart, 4 PG and 2 North Capital) participated
and they are staying in Toronto for a four day
national training camp that began today.
