Anyone looking to get rid of their old outdoor power equipment have a new place to recycle it.  Allen's Scrap and Salvage in Prince George is now accepting old or broken equipment as part of a new recycling program from the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute of Canada.  Owner Alex Allen says anything metal is being accepted.

"If its power equipment of any kind we'd like it drained of all fluids," says Allen, "if it's electrical of course any oil that might be in there, other than that they can bring anything, there's not value to anything, but they're allowed to drop it off here."

Allen says people have been dropping off lawnmowers and weed whackers to be recylced.  Old, unused or broken equipment can be dropped off at Allen's Scrap and Salvage on the east end of 2nd Avenue.
