One group in Vanderhoof has been out and about helping to improve the community.  The Mobile Work Crew sees around 18 people with developmental disabilities getting employed for working in town.  Community Living Program Manager Mark Cormack says the Mobile Work Crew does odd jobs around Vanderhoof.

"Provide fire wood, do lawn mowing, general yard clean-up," says Cormack, "somebody's moving if they want to have some boxes carried, out of a moving truck or something like that."

Cormack says members of the mobile work crew do get a pay cheque for their work in Vanderhoof.  He says it helps build their self-esteem and value in the community.
