NewsProvincial Budget Hearings Begin
A chance for the public to be apart of the 2013 budget consultations starts this month. The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services will be conducting public hearings across B.C., including stops in Prince George and Smithers on October 16th. Committee Chair Doug Horne says it's an opportunity for people to give their input and see how the government plans the budget. "The budget consultation process really tries to engage British Columbians and have them think as government does, how to best prepare the budget, how we tax people, how we spend the money, and how we prepare the budget in general," said Horne. Horne says even if you cannot attend the hearing in your community, you can send a written submission online before October 18th. Most Viewed Stories
