A third armed robbery in less than a week occured in Prince George last night.

RCMP say just after 7:30pm, they received a report of an armed robbery at the Shell gas station on 5th and Carney.

When officers arrived they determined a man had entered the station and showed a handgun.

He demanded money then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as caucasian, about 30 years old with short dark brown hair, wearing a dark green hoodie and jeans.

Police say they are aware of similarities between this incident and the two robberies at Subway restaurants on Friday.

They say they are looking into the possibility that the same person was involved in all three robberies.
