NewsNechako Rotary Club Tickets Sales Come in at 55%
The Nechako Rotary Club was only able to sell 55 percent of tickets in this year's car raffle. The last four days of the raffle saw the most tickets sold for the Ford Torino before the winner was drawn earlier this month. President Andrea Johnson says the make of the car deterred some people from buying tickets. "But they like the cause that we are raising for the Salvation Army," says Johnson, "so it was probably a 50/50 split there some people didn't like the car, but they wanted to support the Salvation Army others wanted to support the Salvation Army and Rotary as a whole." Johnson says the Nechako Rotary Club will debrief to see if they will do another car raffle next year. She says they were able to sell enough tickets to meet the costs of the car and supporting the Salvation Army. Most Viewed Stories
