NewsCougars Brass Anticipates Better Gate Turnout
Tonight marks the home opener of the Prince George Cougars as they host the Seattle Thunderbirds for a pair of weekend games. Ticket sales have been brisk for the opener with only several hundred remaining. Vice-President Brandi Brodsky says there is reason to believe the team will see stronger support at the gate this season. "Really positive feedback that we've been getting, everybody in town seems to be very excited and it's translating into ticket sales which we like, and to be honest, it's good for the players too, they love playing in front of a big crowd," said Brodsky. Tonight's game features a tailgate party out front of CN Centre starting at five o'clock with a barbeque, games, and facepainting for kids. The Cougars are 2-0 heading into tonight's game after a pair of wins over the Everett Silvertips. Most Viewed Stories
