The United Way of Northern BC is kicking off this year's fundraising season with a fire truck pull tomorrow.  The competition will take place at the Prince George Farmer's Market on Third Avenue and George Street and the society hopes it will get the word out about its fundraising season.  Campaign Associate Kyle Flannagan says there are many ways people and businesses can get involved.

"Some of our more popular ways are we do employee pay roll deductions," says Flannagan, "so a small amount will come off each cheque and its a easy way to donate and we make it as easy as possible and all money raised goes back to local communities in Northern BC."

Flannagan says they have five teams entered into the fire truck pull that starts at 11 am at the farmer's market.  The United Way's fundraising season goes until December 31st.
