NewsPrince George Continues to Lead Kelowna in Interior Drive for Life Challenge
Prince George continues to lead the Canadian Blood Services Interior Drive for Life challenge, but there's a long way to go. Partnership Specialist Amy Erickson says in four weeks, Prince George has collected 492 blood donations. "Prince George is doing really well against Kelowna. Unfortunately they've had some struggles there filling their clinics, so they are battling hard, and we know that they have a tendency to come back at the end of the challenge. But so far we're leading them, we're at about 95 percent of target, and they're at about 74 percent of target." Erickson says they still need another 393 donations before October 18th to win the challenge. They're aiming for a total of 885 blood donations, while Kelowna has a goal of 14 hundred and 8. The losing city's mayor will have to wear the winning city's WHL team jersey during a city council meeting. Most Viewed Stories
