First responders gathered at the Prince George Airport Thursday morning to take part in a special training exercise.
Airport staff worked with first responders to practice dealing with the aftermath of a simulated emergency plane landing.
Spokeswoman Lindsay Cotter says 24 Duchess Park grade 12 drama class students played the role of injured passengers.
"They have special effects make-up on and it's been great to see them take part in this exercise. I think for them, a lot of them really went into full mode and they really acted out what took place."
RCMP, Prince George Fire Rescue, the Pineview Volunteer Fire Department, Northern Health and BC Ambulance Service were involved in the exercise.
All airports in Canada are required under Canadian Aviation Regulations to conduct live mock disaster exercises every four years.
