Many upgrades have been made at Otway Nordic Ski Centre during its capital improvement project.  Trees have been cleared for the biathalon and stadium as well as the new competition trails.  Caledonia Nordic Ski Club President Kevin Pettersen says the improvements are being made in the run up to the 2015 Canada Winter Games and gives them the chance to test out the range.

'So we will have the championships for both BC Biathalon and cross country this year and next year we'll have the Western Canadian Championships  and of course in 2015 we will have the Canada Winter Games," says Peddersen

Pettersen says logs have been moved and construction on the trails and stadium are about to start.  He says they hope to have everything ready by early November.
