NewsPrince George to Play Host to Parents this Weekend
Parents from all over the North are invited to this weekend's BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils Conference. The conference taking place at the Prince George Civic Centre on Saturday will give parents 16 different workshops on a variety of issues children face at school. Prince George District Parent Advisory Council Chair Sarah Holland says a lot will be covered at the one day conference. "Somethings like bullying, supporting your child's learning, body smarts, which is body image and sexuality," says Holland, "we also have navigating special needs, for parents who are interested in kids who have special needs navigating the system." Holland says parents interested in attending the B-C Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils Conference are encouraged to register ahead of time. Tickets are $65 each and can be found at www.bccpac.bc.ca. Most Viewed Stories
