Prince George RCMP have located two teenagers who escaped from a youth detention centre Thursday.

A person driving along Highway 97 South responded to the RCMP's call for public help around 5:00 pm.

The motorist told police the 14 and 17 year olds were trying to hitchhike on the highway just before Hixon.

A police officer drove to the area, confirmed the pair as the teens missing from Camp Trapping and arrested them.

The RCMP thank the public for their help finding the young men.
