It may be three years away, but preparations for Prince George's Centennial are underway now.  A committee of ten people has been formed to find out what events will happen in 2015 when PG turns 100.  City Councillor and Centennial Committee Chair Murry Krause says the committee is already trying to get the word out.

"By being at the PGX and we have been talking to some community groups and those kinds of things," says Krause, "and then we are starting to talk about how we plan to move forward so we are looking at doing some public consultation."

Krause says in the new year the centennial committee will present recommendations to city council on how to celebrate the centennial.  He says there could be potentially a lot of overlap with the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
