Prince George RCMP will be involved with yet another police involved shooting investigation after a bizarre arrest last night.

Around 6:00pm, officers were executing an arrest near the corner of Strathcona and Norwood when things took a nasty turn.

Police were trying to arrest an occupant of a vehicle when they allege the driver sped towards an officer.

One RCMP member fired at least one shot, but nobody was hurt.

The driver was arrested soon after.

The incident will not be investigated by the newly formed Independent Investigations Office as the RCMP will look for another independent agency to take part.
