An 18-year old Prince George resident has been charged after a bicycle robbery on the weekend.

Jesse Orlando Ferguson faces numerous charges including robbery, robbery with a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a weapon without a licence.

Prince George RCMP were called to the 1900 block of Strathcona Avenue just before 10:00am Saturday after a resident called 911 saying he had been robbed of his bicylcle at gunpoint.

Shortly after, police arrested Ferguson who will stay in custody until his next court appearance next week.
