Green Party candidate acclaimed in PG-Mackenzie
The BC Green Party has acclaimed a candidate in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding for the upcoming provincial election.
And 32 year old Karen McDowell says for her one issue trumps all.
"The green issue is a big one.The company's in the Prince George area have been working on lowering their emissions and selling a greener product and with that comes forestry, how's it going to affect forestry, how's it going to affect our community?"
McDowell says she's running to win but would be satisfied if she picks up more than 10 percent of the vote.
She currently drives a limousine and is taking classes at UNBC.
Other's running in the riding include the NDP's Bobby Deepak, Mike Morris for the Liberals and Terry Rysz with the BC Conservatives.
