Around 30 people affected directly or indirectly by last week's Lakeland Mills explosion received a wealth of knowledge of how to deal with the disaster Tuesday night.  The Candian Red Cross opened up the Prince George Civic Centre to give people the chance to find out what support resources are available to help cope with the explosion.  Red Cross Community Planning Manager Alex Valoroso says the Red Cross is connecting people with local associations.

"So for example if someone comes to us and is struggling and needs some counselling and services, we don't necessarily provide that," says Valoroso, "but we do know what resources are available for that individual and we can refer them to that process."

Lakeland mill worker Terry Jones says the support services he's accessed in the past week have been of great use.

"One of the things that has really helped me is connecting with the other people that were involved," says Jones, "not only the other people but my family and getting help from them and they're talking to me."

Anyone needing any type of support to deal with the Lakeland Mills fire is asked to contact the Canadian Red Cross at 250-564-6566 or at their offices on Sixth Avenue.
