Prince George, B.C.
It is the end of flu season and Northern Health is reporting a big drop in the number of recorded cases.
Only one case of the flu has been confirmed in Prince George, with four in Vanderhoof, and two in Quesnel.
Public Health Nurse Carolyn Bouchard says recent reports of a flu bug circulating in the north are unfounded.
"There could be any number of different types of viral strains circulating out there, the common cold, those kinds of things, which can mimic the same types of flu symptoms."
Bouchard says the drop in cases could be a result of people washing their hands and getting immunized.
She says the flu vaccine will be available until the end of May.
Flu season starts up again in October.
