Emergency officials are maintaining a watchful eye on river levels throughout BC, including in Prince George.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for the Fraser River, which has dropped to 9.4 metres as of Friday morning.

David Jones with Environment Canada says rain is expected to spread through the interior on Saturday.

"Gradually shifting northwards towards Sunday.  So the grand total rainfalls are in the order of still 30 to let's call it 50 millimetres at the most."

The BC River Forecast Centre predicts Fraser River levels will begin rising again late Sunday or Monday.

Meanwhile, a High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect for the Nechako River near Prince George.
