A vehicle collision on Highway 16 has closed the road in both directions just east of Terrace.

A commercial lumber transport and a van have collided at Flint Creek. Emergency Health Services are on the scene and transporting injured people to the Mills Memorial Hospital. The degree of their injuries is not known at this time.

Police investigators are currently examining the possibility of alcohol as a contributing factor to the crash.

There is no estimated time of re-opening and motorists are advices to check the Drive BC website for the most update information.
