NewsWhistler Woman Runs Length of Pipeline
A woman from Whistler is running across B.C. to bring awareness to clean energy. Kim Slater has chosen to run the length of the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline project. "I'll be running about a marathon a day, spread over approximately 45 to 55 days, running the length of the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline, primarily along highway 16 to Prince Rupert and then down to Kitimat," said Slater. Slater says she wants to connect with people and engage communities in the topic of renewable energy and alternatives to expanding oilsands. She says there will be a gathering in Prince George on July 24th, but where and when is yet to be announced. Most Viewed Stories
