Prince George RCMP responded to a robbery last night.

Corporal Craig Douglass says police were called to a convenience store.

"Police received a report of a robbery at 8:35pm and responded to the 31 hundred block of 15th Avenue. Officers determined that an adult male entered the business, produced a knife, and stole the cash register."

Douglass says the suspect then ran to a waiting vehicle near an elementary school.

The cash register was left behind, and the suspect along with another man fled the scene.

The vehicle was found abandoned near Garvin Street.

Douglass says the RCMP are asking the public for help in identifying the suspects, so anyone with information is asked to call the detachment or Crimestoppers.
