Preparations for this year's Cops for Cancer Tour de North are well underway.  This year's tour will see 25 riders cycling from Prince George to Prince Rupert to raise money and awareness for children's cancer research.  Community Rider Sherry Pattie says she's been riding her bike to and from work to get ready for the 850 km tour.

"So for me to and from is about 40 kilometres per day," says Pattie, "and when I was on holidays I would take my bike out and go for rides and try and get out as much as I possibly can."

Pattie says Tour de North participants have also been doing different fundraising activities such as garage sales and pancake breakfasts for this year's tour.  The Cops for Cancer Tour de North goes from September 14th to 20th.
