NewsPrince George Library Helps Haiti Through Reading Program
The Prince George Library's Summer reading program is well underway. The theme of this year's program is 'Prince George Reads Together.' Program Coordinator Ruth Buehler says children coming to library will have the chance to purchase Book Boxes for Haiti. "We've had a donation of $600 and we have activities boxes at the library," says Buehler, "so children can do an activity that requires reading or doing some research and for each activity completed a dollar is donated towards purchasing these boxes." Buehler says the boxes are purchased through PLAN Canada and given to Haitian children. The summer reading program runs all days the library is open. Most Viewed Stories
