A fire ripped through an apartment building in Houston last night.

Sergeant Stephen Rose says no one has been injured.

"We believe to have located the cause of the fire and it certainly is accidental in nature and based on what we've learned to date there won't be any criminal charges arising."

Rose says it took fire crews around 12 hours to extinguish the blaze.

15 units in the complex had to be evacuated.  The District of Houston will help residents with lodging and food for the next 72 hours.
