Prince George, B.C.

Prince George business ownersare being asked to take a survey about pay parking returning to the downtown.

City Council has voted in favour of reinstating pay parking due to people abusing the free parking system.

Chamber of Commerce CEO Jennifer Brandle-McCall says a survey about the planned change has been distributed to members.

"This is an issue that will affect all of our members in some way or another.  If they have an interest in the revitalization of downtown and also just the overall improvement of the business community, then this should affect everyone."

The Chamber has already received 150 responses from a pool of 870 member businesses.

An analysis of all surveys received before the submission deadline will be shared with members and City Council.
