The BC Agriculture Council has seen a lack in funding for its Agrifood BC website.  The portal was created to keep track of historic agriculture data and to provide information on BC's food products.  Council Executive Director Reg Ens says while there is an interest in the portal, they haven't seen the funding needed to expand it.

"The money has been burnt through with other projects, faster than what the province had anticipated," says Ens, "so funding has not been kept at where we thought it was going to be there have been some constraints we've run into this year."

Ens says they haven't been able to hire people needed to drive the vision of the site.  Anyone wanting to access the site and learn more about BC agriculture can head to www.agrifoodbc.ca.
