Coroners Service Identifies Man Who Died in Boating Incident

The identity of a man who died in a boating incident near McLeod Lake on August 5th has been released.

The BC Coroners service has confirmed the deceased is 59 year old Ralph Der from Prince George.

Der was fishing from a small boat on Carp Lake when he jumped into the water to retrieve his hat.

An immediate attempt to find Der was unsuccessful, but his body was located Wednesday.

Der's family has been notified and the Coroners Service is continuing to investigate his death.
