NewsCitizen of the Year Nominees Announced
Prince George, B.C. - Five nominees have been named for the Prince George Community Foundation Citizen of the Year. Included are Lorne Calder, Matthew Church, Ken Pendergast, Marvene Layte, and Darrell Hubbell. Committee Chair, Murry Krause, local residents have helped select the nominees. "They're all very deserving. You know, these are people's names you constantly hear about in the community and so...that's how some people get identified because people just keep saying well we keep hearing about so and so doing this kind of work and then they become really good candidates." Krause says each committee member will cast a separate vote for the winner based on nomination packages. The Citizen of the Year will be announced on October 21, 2011. 12:14pm | By 94X and The Wolf News Most Viewed Stories
