NewsBond Will Run For a Fourth Term
One of the longest serving BC Liberal Cabinet Ministers says she fully intends to run for a fourth term in May. Solicitor General and Justice Minister Shirley Bond says she still feels there is lots of work to get done and while it is a demanding job, she's devoted to continuing to represent Northern B.C. in the legislature. "We have a lot of work to do in the next ten months but I can tell you I am devoted to Northern British Columbia, I've lived there my entire life, I care enormously about the people that live there and I'm going to run on the track record that I have personally," said Bond. She says the BC Liberals have had their share of mistakes but says the party is strong moving forward with a good mix of veteran and new faces set to run. Since being first elected in 2001, Bond has held a variety of cabinet posts including Education, Health, Transportation, and Advanced Education. Most Viewed Stories
