Almost 2500 people have agreed to volunteer for the 2015 Canada Winter Games. Games organizers hope to increase that number in the fall once people are back to work from holidays. CEO Stuart Ballantyne says people have been signing up for a wide variety of roles.
"People like the entertainment aspect of the games, they like the sports," says Ballantyne, "so we haven't gotten too deep into what roles people are going to have, right now were were collecting names of those interested, but ultimately the sports and the entertainment properties that go with the games will the be ones that fill up first."
Ballantyne says they need six thousand volunteers to help put on the 2015 Canada Winter Games. To sign up as a volunteer head to www.canadagames2015.ca.
