Prince George's Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society is giving residents the chance to try vermicomposting in their homes.  This allows people who don't have a backyard to do a smaller version of composting.  REAPS Executive Director Terri McClymont says to start a vermicomposter you need a large plastic container.

"And what we suggest is a 36 litre Rubbermaid tote, and then we drill holes in the top and the bottom and then you have a Rubbermaid boot mat and four blocks which the bin sits on top of the boot mat on top of the blocks," says McClymont, "and with the holes you have air circulating around the bin."
