Prince George, B.C.

A two-vehicle collision has left one man dead as Highway 16 remains closed just east of Tabor Mountain.

An eastbound Chevrolet pickup and westbound Ford Mustang collided around 8:00 am this morning with the Mustang bursting into flames, killing the man behind the wheel.

The lone passenger in the car is in hospital in stable condition.

The two people inside the pickup are in hospital in Prince George with serious injuries.

Drive BC estimates the road should be re-open by about 2:00 pm.

There is no detour available.
