Tours of the Mt. Milligan mine near Mackenzie have been extremely popular this summer.  The company in charge of the copper-gold project, Thompson Creek Metals, alternates between Mackenzie and Fort St. James giving day tours of the mine.  Spokesperson Jocelyn Fraser says people get a clear view of what's happening at the mine.

"So you can see the construction of the storage facility," says Fraser, "you can see the plant which is very interesting to look at because its going to be on of the largest and most modern mills in world, so you can see hows that's coming together."

Fraser says the tours have seen school groups to seniors looking at the Mount Milligan mine.  To book a tour contact either Thompson Creek Metals offices in Mackenzie or Fort St. James.
