The Fraser River has peaked again in Prince George and is expected to begin receding some time tomorrow.
Dave Campbell with the BC River Forecast Centre says the river hit 9.46 metres at the South Fort George Gauge.
He says that's approximately a half-a-metre below the peak level experienced about a week ago.
"At this point, we're expecting that to drop through the week, into the weekend and with no real aggressive weather on the forecast, we're expecting it to continue to drop and get to the seasonal downswing of river levels."
Campbell cautions that if aggressive rainfall occurs in the near future, the Fraser River could rise again.
18 evacuation orders and about 60 evacuation alerts are still in place for residents affected by flooding.
The Fraser River remains under a Flood Watch and a High Streamflow Advisory is still in effect for the Nechako River.
