NewsSiberian Fires Causing Smoky Air
Prince George and much of the Central and Northern Interior of B.C. continues to deal with a smoky haze thanks to massive wildfires in Siberia and the air quality is taking a hit as a result. PG Air President Terry Robert says the combination of wind patterns and a mini-heat wave are contributing to make matters even worse. "These wind patterns are happening all the time bringing materials with them up into the air we breathe up here in Prince George. So the real message here is airsheds are just absolutely linked," said Robert. Similar largescale wildfires in Colorado may also contributing to our poor air quality. Robert is asking everyone in the area to avoid adding to the poor air by suspending dust clearing activities for example until the current conditions subside. Most Viewed Stories
