NewsThefts from Cars on the Rise
Prince George RCMP are reminding the public to lock their car doors, and keep valuables out of sight. Corporal Craig Douglass says the summer weather has brought an increase in thefts from vehicles. "The summer months, certainly it's warmer, people are out throughout the night, as well youth are out of school so they maybe don't have curfews, and we do believe that youth are responsible for a good portion of these thefts," said Douglass. Douglass says that unless something of value can be seen inside, most thefts only occur when a car has been left unlocked. Most Viewed Stories
