Local SportsDonations Pour in for Habitat For Humanity
Prince George Habitat for Humanity has been looking at different ways of how to get raise money for this year's home build after not getting their permit fees waived. In March Prince George City Council did not waive the home build society's $13,000 permit fee. Executive Director Jo-Ann Pickering says they've had a few donations come through to help pay for this year's home build. "We did get a grant from the Home Depot Grant Foundation for 10 thousand dollars, which is totally awesome. So we got some in cash, and some in gift cards." Pickering says Habitat for Humanity has also been receiving donations through their gift in kind program. She says if anyone is interested in volunteering to help build this year's house they can come to their restore on Queensway Street. Similar StoriesMost Viewed Stories
