NewsCougars Tournament a Near Sellout
The first annual Prince George Cougars alumni golf tournament is shaping up to be a rather full two days of fundraising fun. The tournament has sold out for all but one foursome as tournament Chairman Gary Samis says plenty of businesses have also responded by way of donations. "60 businesses have contributed probably close to 15 thousand dollars worth of auction prizes. And the big winner that night will be an opportunity to live auction for a trip for two from Westjet to the Mayan Riviera," said Samis. The auction goes next Thursday night along with a public meet and greet with current Cougars and alumni who will be auctioned off to play with the winning bidder's group. Friday will see the tournament itself followed by an awards and dinner evening. The two-day event is taking place at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club with all proceeds going to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. Most Viewed Stories
