After a disappointing showing at the Olympics for a wrestler who grew up in Northern B.C., Leah Callahan is moving forward.

Callahan, who grew up in Mackenzie, says she's just looking ahead after she was eliminated from medal contention.

"The Olympics doesn't really define your wrestling career, and overall it was a phenomenal year for me. I beat a lot of the girls that medaled, and I beat the 2008 Olympic champ. I'm still really disappointed that I couldn't put it together, but I'm just looking at it as another experience to go into the next world championship."

Up next for Callahan, she will be competing at the Women's Senior World Championship in Edmonton in September.

Callahan's teammate Carol Huynh, who's from Hazelton, won a bronze medal.
